Presenting contemporary art in craft materials by regional, national, and international artists since 1971, Contemporary Craft offers cutting-edge exhibitions focusing on multicultural diversity and contemporary art, as well as a range of artist-led studio workshops, community engagement programs, and a store featuring work by top artists from across the country.

Across three galleries, our exhibitions push the boundaries of craft, challenge perceptions of traditional materials, and encourage conversations about the world around you.

Contemporary Craft’s Main Gallery features large-scale exhibitions that include national and international artists and brings the best of contemporary craft art to Pittsburgh, elevating the city’s place in the craft world.

Our David Zeve Gallery for Regional Artists provides an opportunity to highlight the talent and innovation of artists, curators, and collectives primarily from PA, OH, WV, Southwestern NY, MD, and Washington DC.

The Gerri Kay Exhibition Cases feature exhibitions of smaller-scale works, along with pieces from Contemporary Craft’s permanent collection.

Contemporary Craft’s exhibitions are free to the public.
