The Museum of Cold is pleased to announce its upcoming show, Catastrophe & Diagram.

The show takes inspiration from the lectures of Gilles Deleuze, whose writings describe the generative intersection between art and philosophy. Specifically, Deleuze describes the importance of two types of grey—the first, a black-white grey that defines the frame from which an artwork emerges, and the second, a red-green grey where the components of an artwork collapse to reemerge as color and light. In the creation of a new work of art, we are manifesting a “controlled” catastrophe.

Catastrophe & Diagram opens Friday, May 1st from 6 to 9pm and is on view through June 12th.

Gallery hours are currently Saturdays 1–5pm and by appointment. Please email info@museumofcold.com for more information.
