Almost Gallery is a miniature pop-up exhibition space in an abandoned dollhouse. Found on the streets of Bloomfield in 2025 by curator Alli Lemon’s housemate, the gallery is comprised of three primary floors, an attic, and sixteen windows, providing an unexpectedly expansive framework for presenting artworks both inside and out. The gallery does not reside in a fixed location. Instead, exhibition sites are chosen specifically to support the context of the work.
Almost Gallery is devoted to showcasing new work by contemporary artists across diverse disciplines. Though modest in scale, it maintains an ambition for full-sized curatorial rigor and conceptual depth. The gallery seeks to foreground work that is meticulously crafted and intellectually engaged, inviting viewers to reconsider the relationship between scale and significance, affirming that work need not be large to be profound. Equally, Almost embraces humor and delight, encouraging artists to approach expressing ideas from the most serious to the most light with curiosity and play.
