Low Brow / Pop Surrealism

Low Brow / Pop Surrealism brings together the work of seven artists whose practices are shaped by the imaginative, irreverent, and often subversive worlds of Low Brow and Pop Surrealism.

Drawing from the visual language of comics, underground culture, popular imagery, fantasy, and the strange and unexpected, these artists explore the boundaries between the familiar and the fantastical. Their works are playful, provocative, and at times dark, reflecting movements that have long challenged the distinctions between fine art and popular culture.

Together, the exhibition offers a diverse look at contemporary artists carrying forward the spirit of Low Brow and Pop Surrealism while making the aesthetic distinctly their own.
