Light of a Dream

We are pleased to present a new series of paintings by Josias Figueirido, many of which were recently exhibited at the Zillman Art Museum in Bangor, Maine. Josias' work combines digital and analog technologies to explore stories that speak of friendship, community, and belonging. His practice centers on an evolving fictional world inhabited by his signature characters, Piri the Dreamer and Flying Coyote, who embody aspects of the artist's experience while remaining autonomous figures within a world governed by its own internal logic. Viewers are invited to contemplate their own fantastical narratives and meaning through the artist’s quirky settings and characters.
