Census [REDACTED] confronts the slow, bureaucratic violence of identity erasure. Set against the backdrop of disappearing DEI frameworks and the quiet deletion of demographic databases, this work stages a meditation on the labor of being seen, counted, named, and recorded, and the institutional mechanisms that make those acts feel futile. Through the repetitive, administrative gesture of filling out identity forms only to immediately destroy them, the piece underscores the absurdity of contemporary equity work, the erasures embedded in "neutral" policy, and the ongoing precarity of marginalized bodies asked to continually assert their existence.
